The Canal Fulton Glassworks

Tom Grubb Jr.

Tom Grubb, Jr.,  Professor Emeritus in the Department of Evolution, Ecology, and Organismal Biology at The Ohio State University, devotes much attention to fashioning sculpted fish, dolphins, whales and birds from native Ohio woods.  Such work combines a lifelong attraction to animals (culminating in the books, Beyond Birding and The Mind of the Trout) with a love of woodworking going back to the hundreds of model boats made during childhood.  He lives with his wife, Jill, on a small farm in central Ohio, a farm which furnishes most of the wood for the pieces he makes.  He accepts commissions.
